Jandiala 5 February ( ADP NEWS)  Guru Gobind Singh University College, Jandiala Manjki, under the leadership of College In-Charge Mr. Jashanjot Singh Johal, successfully organized a four-day series of workshops in Computers, Commerce, and English. Conducted in collaboration with the Golden Jubilee Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (GJCEI) of GNDU, Amritsar and sponsored by Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA 2.0), the initiative aimed to equip students with practical skills, foster innovation, and prepare them for a professional and digital world.

The workshops began with the Computer Department, which conducted a workshop on “A Hands-on Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things”. Resource persons Dr. Pankaj Deep Kaur, Associate Professor, GNDU Regional Campus, Jalandhar, and Mrs. Jessy Julian, Assistant Professor, Trinity College, Jalandhar, guided students through interactive sessions. Participants gained practical experience in AI and IoT and explored how these technologies can be applied to solve real-world challenges.

Simultaneously, the Commerce Department organized a workshop on “Building Future-Ready Professionals in a Digital and Innovation-Driven Environment.” Resource persons Dr. Ashish Arora, In-Charge, GNDU College, Jalandhar, Dr. Jaswinder Kaur, Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women, Jalandhar, and Dr. Deepak Devgan, Assistant Professor, Khalsa College, Amritsar, introduced students to digital transformation in business, innovative strategies for professional growth, and tools for effective decision-making.

The series concluded with the workshop on Academic Writing, “Basics of Language and Literature: How to Comprehend and Write Effectively.” Resource persons Dr. Ravinder Kaur, Assistant Professor, CDOE, Panjab University, Chandigarh, Dr. Hari Om Verma, and Prof. Ahuja Sandeep, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, trained students in language fundamentals, pronunciation, comprehension, and effective writing skills, enhancing their communication alongside technical and professional knowledge.

The concluding day was attended by the dignitaries Mr. Makhan Palan, former Sarpanch of Jandiala Manjki, Mr. Jaideep Singh, GNDU College, Nakodar, Mr. Ajay Kumar, English Master at Government High School, Boparai Kalan, and Dr. Jagsir Singh Brar, In-charge, Bebe Nanki University College, Mithra. The workshops concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Jashanjot Singh Johal, College In-Charge, who acknowledged all resource persons, students, faculty members, and dignitaries for their active participation and support in making the initiative a success. He also expressed his gratitude to the Vice-chancellor Prof. (Dr) Karamjeet Singh and Dean CDC Prof. (Dr.) Saroj Arora for their guidance.

The four-day initiative provided students with comprehensive learning in technology, commerce, and communication, reflecting the college’s commitment to innovation, holistic education, and professional readiness.
